Wow, that looks really nice! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it once you've been able to play it for a while. I have a good guitar buddy looking at that same guitar and I know he would value your feedback.

Congrats!

I have the same model now but its blonde with satin finish. I love the guitar and it sounds great but I am not a big fan of satin finish guitars. So I am selling it and I have bought this one in its place. I'm sure the sound will be equal to the one I have now, but I think the finish on this new model is well worth the money...

No longer Westerly series . I believe it's just plain old Guild though the website hasn't changed yet .

These are great guitars for the money IMO. Slim necks (compared to Westerly era!) and the intonation is perfect.

Soundwise, they may not quite compete with the best of Westerly's jumbo 12s (of which I have several). (At least not yet anyway-- maybe give 'em a few years?!) But they're not to be discounted by any means. They sound really, really good and they play great.

I'm confused. This link https://www.musiciansfriend.com/gui...-electric-guitar?rNtt=guild 12 string&index=5 is clearly to a Westerly Collection instrument, which is what beecee was referring to. Why do you say Guild has moved a Westerly series instrument to another "category"?
I read it but I can't remember where but I'll try to find out .
I might have miss read it but it mentioned the "Westerly series " name is no longer on the label just Guild .
I apologise if I got it wrong ☹️

Well the labels certainly change. While Guild has never had a naming convention that always made sense they have been careful to give the discerning consumer a way to determine whether something was MIA or MIC. Since they still list the Westerly Collection on their website https://guildguitars.com/guitars/acoustic-guitars/westerly-collection/ I wanted to make sure they were still making the distinction.

Yeah I mentioned the site still has the Westerly distinction. I'm just hanging my head to remember where I read it but I don't recall it being a official statement sooooo ..... I digress . Lol
