Hey everyone,

I have just signed up as I found a link to this forum from somewhere whilst looking for S300 info, I'm a little excited to find it/you all to be honest!

Also the now obviously link between this place and the great GAD blog, it's like a light has been turned on in the Guild electrics cave.

Anyway, a good friend of mine has had an S300 since he was 16, bought it second hand and THRASHED it and I mean THRASHED. cracks, dents, mould, coloured and puttied holes, burns all sorts. ( I have a tendency to waffle so I'll try cut to the chase)
He then gave up music and left it in a loft whilst I tried to get it off him for years.

I have it now and once I found out the original pickups were never in it since his ownership and seeing how hazed and horrible the finish was (rats in said loft) - I stripped it. SHOCK!

anyway (v2.0) I love how it has come out and have just out it all back together after weeks of utter joyful tinkering.
I'll post pics once ive figured that out.

My actual question is this; having not seen one like it and it actually being a seasoned guitarist, can any help me with how to set up the bridge properly? It's confusing and the strings don't really want to line up where they should, between roller saddles and the nut etc.

Waffle done, thanks for your eyes folks!

Congrats and thank you for saving an old S300!

Here's a pic of the bridge on one of mine for you:

String-to-string distance is adjusted by moving the rollers. Intonation is adjusted by turning the screws. Of course height is adjusted with the big bolts on the sides.

I've had many S300ADs and an S300, so if more pics would help just say the word.

Hello! Thank you for the replies, I apologise for sticking this in the absolute wrong place on the forum, I was all fizzy and over excited at the time!
I kept on frowning and got there in the end, almost spot on intonation too, for now. It's been a long time since it was strung up and healthy so we'll see how it goes.

I don't know if this works but a link to an Instagram post I chucked up earlier, has a slightly wonky account of the process.

If that's a no go forgive me, it's dinner time and I'm a bit drunk and beyond hungry, my Instagram profile is @hedgeface if anyone wants to see asap.

Realise my Instagram link/etc isn't working so I'll add photos, I'm gonna do that tomorrow, will see if I can upload multiple as I've a few. Sadly I don't have any of it fully assembled in its previous form.
Anyway, hold tight!
