My daughter graduated from high school last week. We went to lunch at one of her favorite locally owned restaurants. I've not really been out much and I always enjoyed the place. So I order Utica greens, fried meatballs, calamari and roasted peppers with fontina for apps....for 5 of us...but 2 wouldn't touch any of it.

So I gorged like Caligula.

Friday we went to 2 graduation parties, we held hers yesterday and now we have two more today.

Top it off with my high school Alumni golf outing...with a big fat strip steak the size of my foot.....tomorrow...... 45th reunion too.....ugh.

You've done more in your last week than I have in about 10 years. You are also making me hungry but sans the calamari.

Look at the bright side. You don't have the guilt of wasting food and depriving those starving kids Mom was always worried about.

If you need a stand-in, my schedule appears to be clear.

Never heard of Utica Greens before. Looks delish!! I love all kinds of greens but since I'm on Coumadin (warfarin) I have to avoid foods high in vitamin K (most dark green stuff, sigh) because it nullifies the effect. Hopefully, when one of the newer blood thinners goes generic in a year or so, I'll switch to that and then look out greens!!! Was on Eliquis which is a great drug, but every time it and my Multaq came due to refill after Medicare paid a huge sum, I was left with a bill for $1400 for 3 months. In case you were worried, the drug companies are doing just fine.....

I heard an explosion last night. Beecee, was that you?

Joking aside, I hope you have enjoyed your extended weekend of events. Congratulations to your daughter on her graduation, and to you and Mrs. Beecee for getting her there!
