Would it be a Guild? Between Martin, Taylor, Gibson and Guild. Not including high-end custom-built guitars.

I got the okay to get anything under $4k for my soon to arrive 60th birthday and I went with a Guild GF30. So I would have to say yes it would be a Guild.

While I really don't want or more important, need any more acoustic guitars, I suppose if one was to fall out of the sky, I'd like it to be a Martin n-20 (which is the same model that Willie Nelson plays). But guitar-clouds are exceedingly rare, so I won't hold my breath waiting for them to form over our house.

I have been in the position many times to be able to get anything I wanted. I have always shopped Guild. And many times passed on a higher end model for a lower end model that spoke to me. But, yeah.....I am a Guild nut for about five decades now!

Been there. Did it.
Got the F-512 and JF30-12 - and not smart enough to know if there’s anything better that I should consider, especially knowing full well that my current Guild fleet is better than I am.

My 2022 Gibson SJ-200 with LR Baggs Anthem pickup.
And hopefully it will stay that way.

What I'm missing now is a late '40s/early '50s Gibson round shoulder. It's never really been in the budget, and sure isn't getting cheaper!

Well, if I could find and afford the round neck version of my '34 square neck M16, I would probably go with :gettyimagesM16ajpg.jpg
.I do have 2 steel round neck M32 models, but there is something about German silver, especially when engraved...$_58d.JPG

Are you kidding!? ANY acoustic at any price value?! Guilds would certainly not be in the mix, love mine as I do. Pre-war Martin 00 or 000, EZ choice. Not sure of the specific one.

There's a reason, crazy as it is, for them selling for the cost of a house down payment.

For flattop acoustics, it would be either a Martin D-28 12-fret or D-18 12-fret from the early 1930s. I got to play a 1933-4 12-fret D-28 that belonged to a private collector. It was insanely great sounding, but not so easy to play with its gigantic neck. For archtop acoustics, it would be a pre-1950 Gibson Super 400 (non-cutaway).

I love my Guilds ... any? I scored 3 of 'em over the past 50 years (still have 'em: 1970 DelVecchio Dinamico, 2009 Bourgeois OMSC, 1930-ish Stahl Style 6 ... still looking for a Martin 5-18

Honestly, if I could own any acoustic guitar it would be a Guild M-30 Del Rio. Not a fan of dreads, so those are all out of consideration. My hand size prefers short scale and skinny necks, so buh-bye all you Martins. While I like the J-200 in Pete’s hands, I think it’s just too big for comfort. While I’d love a Robert Bouchet classical, I don’t have the chops to do it justice.

I love the sound of my M-20 and the size and feel of my F-30 (it’s sound isn’t too shabby, either). So, the M-30 is really the only one that I, deep down in my heart, want in my collection.

(Note to any M-30 owners. I would gladly build you a custom guitar in exchange for one in good condition.)

Top of the list for me would be a Stromberg Master 300. A '30s Epiphone Emperor would be second (and slightly more affordable). Flattop would be a Martin 99-21NY, it would be first except it is too similar to my Orpheum slothead.
