That's a different guitar, Toni. The one in the video is a snake head headstock. The picture one is a paddle style. Could just be the same model from different years?? Anyone?

OK.....little headstock, looks like rosewood, a small jumbo, but with what looks like Deco fretmarkers? Any takers? Maybe a custom?

Hello West,

Chris Ledoux was one of the first people who had a guitar made for him by the Nashville Custom shop. He already played a regular GF-55 (see album cover) and some of the guitars that were made for him had a similar small jumbo body shape.

The guitar in the video is the one they did for him in 1997. It does have a model number, but it doesn't fit in with the regular Guild model numbers.

Thank you Hans, so I was seeing that right.....right? A small jumbo with Deco fretmarkers in rosewood back and sides? Nice guitar. Like a natural topped Custom Shop Valencia in rosewood?

In Kaycee, Wyoming, the Chris LeDoux Park has the "Good Ride Cowboy" sculpture of Chris. The based of the sculpture is his beloved Guild. Kinda kewl to see a bronze Guild. :) Here is a link.

Fascinating man, Chris LeDoux. I'd never listened to his music much, but just read his bio. Sad, very sad, but it sounds like he did it his way. I do like this song. According to his bio, all of his songs were based on life experiences as a rodeo cowboy.
