After a fairly large purchase (which will be revealed soon) I swore I was done buying until I sold some off. But then this popped up and this model has been on my list for a very long time.

Now I'm done. Probably.

Anyway, I'm very interested to put it up against the Westerly X700.

I bought a guitar recently from Northern Lights Music, and saw that while looking on their site. It's just beautiful!

Yeah it certainly isn’t a bad looking guitar. I really wanted sunburst and this is the first one I’ve seen for a while that wasn’t listed for $8k.

There is another similar one on Reverb. Can someone tell me if there is any difference other than price?

Congratulations! That is one heck of a guitar. The burst is perfect. Looking forward to your review.

Positively breathtakingly beautiful! Congratulations!

Have you now completed everything on your list of guitars? ;)

I don't know of any variation in the Benedetto X700s, but I also have not really put any effort into looking.

The holy grail for me is probably a Nightbird ST which is funny because from a build standpoint it's probably the least desirable guitar with the Nightbird name. I have a GG, a I, a II, a Deluxe, an ST, and an X2000, but I've never even seen an ST except for this one.

Also if this gorgeous Nightbird DX with HB1s ever comes up for sale again I'll buy it.

An S400, an S285 Aviator, a Detonator II, or a Liberator II would probably be an instant buy for me.

And of course a DV82, if one even exists.

If this is the X-700 Benedetto model, I was able to find it for 4,500.

Someday, I might play well enough to pull one of those out of a case, but I'm not holding my breath. But I can drool while window shopping at your blog.

I paid a little over that, but less than $5k. Honestly, I kick myself all the time for not buying yours when you had it for sale. It was a great price and you're a great seller!

If it's any consolation, I feel that many of my guitars should be in the care of someone better suited to them. I take some solace in the fact that I can absolutely feel and hear the sometimes subtle differences between high-end models, so at least their charms are not completely wasted on me.

Also I get to share them with the world, and that's fun.
