Wouldn't that be cool. I saw some local examples over the past few months that peaked my curiosity enough to snap photos of them.

I like the first one with the old flathead. Was '54 the last year Ford used flatheads (assuming that's a Ford)? Although Ford's first V8 was in '32, I think Chevy waited until until '55 for their first V8--an overhead. And I think the '55 hemi was mopar's first V8. I think they had only flathead sixes before that. I always remember Buick's first V8 was in '53 because that's when Guild started. I think Buick and Pontiac had only overhead straight eights before that.

The firetruck with wheelie bars is the next best thing to blues with 12 bars.

I'm stumped by whatever that is on the back of the third one. Is that a camper? And does it have two staggered carbs? He probably had four carbs originally but had to cut down on his carb intake.

It's some kind of homemade creation. I couldn't tell what was in the back either. But like the working girls said in Fargo, it was "kinda funny looking."

Actually Chevrolet built an ohv V8 in 1917. Didn't make it cause they couldn't keep the cams from breaking.
