That was from a live remote on Philly's WMMR from Sigma Sound Studios in February, '72. Gene Shay hosted. Freebo's on bass. I remember listening to the original live broadcast. Saw her in December, '72 at what was then Glassboro State College with John Prine and Jim Croce on the same bill.

The live remote included a great cover of Stephen Stills' "Bluebird":

And a song I would pay Ms. Raitt a big pile of money to play live one more time (if I had a big pile of money). Gets called out all the time in her Philly shows and She. Will. Not. Play. It. Ever. About the sexiest song I've heard:

Like her dad, she's got a voice!
Her dad sings too ; who is he ? Excuse my being so ignorant on this topic, but here we've probably not heard of him much...
By the way, great song and great interpretation... I really like Stevie Winwood too

Nice.

I've always been partial to this version:

Here is a great tutorial on the campfire version, though it doesn’t explain how to get the wood pops to happen on cue.

FYI though Stevie still sings high in this drop C tuning, it is actually a full step (I think) lower than the original electric version. He has an incredibly high range.
