So I decided to post the fact I spent money on. Why ? Because I’m bored .
so scavenging around I found a guitar so I bought it .

Then I found another one on Ebay a bid one so I decided to look into it . I talked to the owner mentioned some things that are questionable. Like the head stock looked like it was recoated . He said it was factory but if you guys looked at it you’d agree that looks like brush lines .

So I said I’ll pass . But dang it , you don’t see many of them and I liked the cutaway. Lol

so at the last minute I said, I might be able to fix it so I decided to bid on it . My timing was good , there was only one other bidder who bid three times from the start that was new to me.

The price started of at the top my range for that guitar but I went for it anyway .
Apparently he had that auto bid thing going on so I lost . Lol but you can’t win them all plus it went more money then I was willing to spend . Dang I liked the cutaway . Lol

There was another one up my sleeve as backup same model no cutaway. It was more money then the eBay one .
What the heck is going on with prices ? Grrrrrr anyway the backup looks very good definitely no paint brush strokes . Lol so I bought it . I just hope I can keep them for a long time .

As my guitar collection seems be growing and I need to stop buying these dang things and see my psychologist.

Ok that’s that 2 incoming one this week the I arranged to ship after I’m out of the hospital. March 2 is , You better fix my knee this time or else !!! Haha

I’ll post both after I’m out .
You guys can have fun guessing though . Lol 😂 hint , I need just one more to complete my set . 😊

Minus one guitar . After receiving the bill . 190 dollars for shipping then a 3% credit card charge along the guitars price well ,,,, that just pissed me off .
There was No mention of a credit card fee in there payment type description. This is a bummer but another will so up in time .

I’m now going to take a muscle relaxer and a pain med and get comatose. 😡

That's a big shipping bill! I figured about $125 from coast to coast, like when we worked out the Contemporary guitar. Why the extra credit card fee I wonder?

Is "Soon to be new guitar day" the abbreviation?

I know! I'm not in the market, but I do look. I guess I'm just a voyeur these days. LOL. Everything does seem priced high. Sounds like the one you bailed on was overpriced anyway. Never fear, another will come along.

When I first joined LTG roughly five years ago, it was asked what I was looking for. I said a burst F512 with an abalone rosette. Of course, they were all priced out of my league. It was about four years later before I got one! (Of course, I got my JF30-12 well before that, and it has kept me very happy all that while. Still does!)

Yes , and 125 to 150 is what I think as well . I think they added a bit extra for themselves. The same with a 3% credit card charge. I guess they want cash payments only .

The place is called “Rare Guitars Gallery”
They have Guilds there so one of might be interested. I don’t think they have a brick and mortar store .

Now you need this one. "SABSBNGD" - Saved A Big Shipping Bill No Guitar Day :)

yeah there was one on reverb that was to high like all of them it had 2 offers only one picture. I didn’t contact because two offers were turned down. But after the F up with the other place I decided to look into it get more pics see what they really wanted . It was consignment deal . Anyway the guy got back and said it sold . What ! , may I ask what it sold for . He told me and in my head I said you got to be kidding me . That is what there supposed be selling at . Another not meant to be . Lol

Guessing a D40
so sir . No more dreads unless it’s a D55 but no hurry . I tell ya my Blueridge BR180A is a articulate monster ! Lol plus shes my second all solid wood guitar 1st was the Epiphone DR500mce but she was much cheaper then the Blueridge and I consider the Blueridge to be my first real guitar . I did have a new bridge made for her days after I got her and there was no other models available and she sounded to dang good to let go plus she’s pretty . Lol😊

When I was first getting back into acoustics (and when I was into Epiphones, too) the wise old tech I went to for setups, etc. was highly complimentary of Blueridges. He said "You want a Martin? Get a Blueridge. They're comparable but a lot less expensive because they don't have "Martin" in the headstock." He knew his stuff. Customers, including me, would sit in his shop and talk about guitars and music for hours.

I think they added a bit extra for themselves.
I hate sellers that do that! When I was collecting picks, I'd see sellers charging $3.50 to ship one guitar pick, then of course it would arrive with a single stamp on an envelope. I won't buy from sellers like that anymore.

i have since realized i am not a rosewood guy...and i have heaf\d a Br-140 before and they are sweet. good to know about Adi tops but I have found them too overpowering/over-toned...I prefer just the regular sitka :)

hope you are feeling better Ray!

Buying guitars is much healthier physically than eating one (or two or three) of those big barrels of Cheese Puffs from Wal-Mart.

Some businesses are adding a credit card fee to cover what the credit card companies take from them. Our farrier has started adding a fee when someone uses a card. When I had my truck towed the guy had a cash/check price which was a little lower than the price if paying by credit card. There have been others, just can't think of them at the moment. Mostly small businesses doing it.

Ray my brothah glad to see ya. I've seen the other recent posts, just haven't piped up yet.

Coop47 got me confused with you recently (thought I sold him the F47Koa). Told him no prob, I was complemented, but just remember Ray's the wild and crazy one. :p

The Walmart Cheese Puff abuse just proves my point.

Recent studies indicate that cheese puffs are actually giant space bacteria, after the Hubble telescope captured this once-in-a-decade image of a colony in the actual act of spawning cheese puffs, settling many years of scientific debate:

Just sayin', bro.

Of course that ignores the old argument about cheese puffs or cheese balls.

I know which ones I'd rather have.

I like cheese puffs but my junk food haul today was tortilla chips, pork skins, and oatmeal cookies. Nice to know space bacteria is working so hard to keep us in cheese puffs. I'll not let them toil in vain. Cheese puffs on the next shopping list!
