Hiya, new fella here. I've gathered that it's hard to find an aftermarket HSC that will fit a DeA M-72, so thought I'd mention 'barryclarkmusic' up in Wisconsin. Carries one that's advertised to fit an Epi Wildkat, at $55, lockable. After I got my M-72 I did considerable looking & found this place on el Bay, ordered the case, & it fits reasonably well - about an inch to spare in depth, about a half-inch to spare on bottom bout width, maybe an inch on the upper, but a deep enough neck "U" to keep the guitar from sideways shifting. Not the perfect case for it but close enough for decent protection, & considerably cheaper than, say, an Epi case from MF, etc. I don't know but would suspect these cases would work also for M-75's and M-77's (?).

And nope, I ain't affiliated with the seller. Just a budget-guitar civilian.

Fronobulax- thanx for the welcome.

Mad Dog - I think your Bigsby'd M-72 would fit OK in one of these cases. There's quite a bit of spare depth in mine w/o a Bigs. (But they're not archtop cases.) To be sure, though, you might do some measuring & then contact the seller - he invites/recommends such inquiries before buying. (And BTW, nice-looking git!)

thanks for the tip. I'll contact that guy. Post a pic of yours if you can. They are handsome guitars, no doubt. With the added bigsby and pickup swap (HD Z-90s), mine became an instant number one guitar. Just gigged it a couple weekends ago. Love this thing!

MD, no can post a pic. I don't have one of them there digital cameras. I'm sure you've seen one like mine, though - it's a plain old stock (except for a cream PG instead of clear) M-72 with the flame-maple burst top. It's been interesting comparing how the GoldTones differ in sound between the M-72 and my S-73. Although I'm quite happy with the M-72 (especially for slide, which I play quite a bit), I think I have to give a slight edge to the S-73 on sound. It's definitely my go-to keeper electric.

I hope the case thing works out for you. Once I got first the S-73 and then the M-72, there was no way I was going to let such nice gits reside in gigbags... and I don't even gig!
