hi jenny,
welcome to ltg. in the early years guild made no difference between the models regarding the serial no.. your fathers guild is most probably from 1961, but without pictures it is impossible for me to tell the model. load up pictures to a host like imgur and then post the links, so we can help you.

HI Jenny, welcome aboard, and be aware that the first few posts of new members are screened to prevent spambots from getting into the site.
So don't get the impression the site is always this clumsy to interact with, posts show up in real time once you're cleared.
Like Krysh said, pics are best but if it's troublesome, there are some questions that can be asked to help narrow it down, such as whether it's acoustic or electric, and the decoration details on the neck and headstock, and also body measurements.
But we like pics even if the owner already knows what kind of guitar it is!

What model is it?

Are you keeping it or trying to get a valuation so you can sell it?

What the history on it, was it bought new?

Inquiring minds want to know ;))

Hi, Jenny,

The guys are impatient...they didn't notice you said you're from down under...and any valuations here would be different for you...plus you won't have the access to a lot of info we have here...when you learn to post a picture, or if too difficult you may be able to email it to one of the guys through a PM (private message) on this site to post it for you...likely you will have to wait a short while until you get past the first 5 posts thing to be able to do so...

The same impatient guys will get your answers for you after they see what you've got.

Welcome to the LTG. Sorry you lost your father.

Welcome, Jenny, and sorry for your loss.

Is there a model # on the label inside? Is there a label inside at all?
