Yeah his BAC alone's prob'ly sufficient for antibiotic use.
Interesting philosophy he has about not taking more of something to get a little higher.
I suspect they might have left out the part about taking something else instead.

Some people are just mighty hard to kill. There is no medical explanation for it.

A guy I went to high school with does research for a pharmaceutical company. Chuck claims there's like one lab rat in every few thousand, that for some reason can take many times the lethal dose of a drug and live. They take those rats and keep them like pets. Some of them die hours or days later, some live a normal lifespan. Same thing with the rats that are subjects of long term studies. Every now and then you get one that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

A friend of mine believes that KR has been dead for years. He claims that the Stones sent his remains to a taxidermist, and that they stand his stuffed remains up on stage for shows. They also hired Mick Taylor to sit backstage and play KR's parts . :D

Alive or dead, I'm lookng forward to reading his autobiography that just came out ("Life"). There are some great excerpts in the new Rolling Stone magazine. Some great stuff that guitar players can relate to like his excitement when he finds a new riff, some stuff about the chords he likes, etc.

William S. Burroughs lived till 83. :?:
There ya go! And this is a true story from a friend I knew from Pakistan: Said his father was an opium eater, and that it was pretty well known there that opium eaters never get sick. Kinda like it prevents anything else from getting a foothold. HMMMM............. :|

My Mom was a total alcoholic and smoked three packs of cigarettes/day since she was 13 yrs old. Breakfast would usually consist of a few strips of charred bacon, a few cigarettes, and Canadian Club straight up. Other meals were little different.

Despite all of this, she lived to be 83 and never even had a cough. And... she died from a bad reaction to anesthesia when she was put under to have a broken hip repaired. Did I mention she never was one pound over or underweight?

With that expereince so close to "home", guys like KR who've totally abused their bodies don't surprise me when they live on regardless.

Like they say, "It's all in the genes."
