I'm sitting here playing with a glorious '58 T100 that I found in my closet. You know you have a problem when you find beautiful vintage guitars you don't remember buying, but what a wonderful surprise it was!
Anyway, the tone knob behaves 100% backwards in that what would be zero (fully counterclockwise) has the most treble while what would be 10 (fully clockwise) has all the treble rolled off.
Is this normal?
Second question: My 1964 CE100D has the two volume controls on the top instead of the front. I found that odd but pictures online seem to indicate that this is correct. Is it, and was this the norm back then? I don't recall Les Pauls ever having that config, but then guitars pre-1970 are kind of a new area for me.
