Oy, don't get me started! ;)

In short, no. Not yet. For awhile it was too damp for finish work. I also dropped off my roommate's bass and apparently the guy thinks he needs to keep them both till they're both done. I think he's trying to hunt down a replacement '70's Ibanez tuner.

So I've had to settle for playing my other three. Sniff sniff...

But of course - according to the seller - this was all a scheme to swindle them out of more money. Boy did I show them! Suckers! ;)

Damn dude that sucks. Maybe you should get it back and start swinging it at people. I'd rather be hit with a baseball bat than an S300A! :)

Update:

Awhile back I talked to the guys at the shop and they said John (the luthier) had a health problem that was pretty serious so his projects were all on hold. I got a hold of him a couple weeks ago and sure enough the dude has had an extremely rough time lately. Long story short, he's getting back to all the projects he had to drop while he was dealing with his health problems. But it will still probably take awhile - refinishing the neck won't be difficult but he's trying to lift the red discoloration out of the bottom end of the body. From what he says he's having some success with it. I don't know exactly what he's using but he's soaking the lacquer with something and he said that when he wipes it away some of the red comes off on the rag. Sounds like it'll be a long process but hopefully he'll be able to get most of it out. In the end it doesn't really matter too much as long as the finish on the neck is fixed and the frets leveled.

So that's the latest. And once again I'm left to play my array of S-100's. Boohoo! ;) ;)
