Hello everyone, I'm new here but I need your help, this weekend the whole family decided that they didn't really like my sound from the Fender 100 and made me play with headphones, I would like to get some good headphones to enjoy the sound but also not very expensive https://theguruchoice.com/headphones/best-headphones-for-guitar-amp/#akg-k240-studio They advise Audio-technica M50 and Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO
Does anyone use these? I would like to receive feedback about them, or tell us which ones you use up to $ 200

welcome.
I'm assuming you are talking about playing electric guitar into a Fender Champion 100 Amp?
The AKG K-240 monitor (only used available anymore) and the AKG K-271 are my choice for something like this.
Post well, post often!

there were 2 former versions of the K-240: studio and Monitor. I'm talking about the vintage Monitor version. the today studio version sounds different.
but since you don't want others to hear what you hear, I recommend the closed K-271. a bit pricey but worth it as is the DT-770pro.
I also recommend to buy the velour earpads for the AKG, they are much more comfortable wearing them in long sessions.

Headphones are a hugely personal choice since they all have their own sound and response. Good headphones or "cans" to we headphone-nuts call them can quickly get stupidly expensive so unless you're doing critical listening you don't need to get too crazy.

Over-ear (circumnaural) headphones come in two flavors: open and closed. I greatly prefer open-back headphones because I like to hear what's going on around me, but this means that the sound leaks out as well. Closed-back headphones give greater immersion but I tend not to like them because they make my ears sweaty and uncomfortable after a while. They're much better for not annoying people nearby, though.

Be advised that headphones like the DT770 are hi-impedance and may not work well with all devices. A headphone amp can solve that problem but I'm not sure you want to go down that dark hole. :) If the amp can drive them then they're great headpones. If you plug them into something like an iPhone that's expecting low impedence (generally 32 ohms) then high-impedence cans will sound thin and weak or just won't have enough volume.

I tend to dislike round year cups and prefer the Sennheisers. I generally use HD600s for everything though I also have HD580s and HD650s that I love, too. Then again I also have too many headphone amps to count so I'm not a normal person.

Welcome. Stick around - nice bunch of folks around here.

I'm a fan of Grado headphones - owned every one up to and including the SR-325e in a never-ending procession of upgrades as my playback chain improved. All sounded excellent.

Grados have a very distinct sound that some love and some don’t. I personally am not a fan but those that love them tend to really love them.
