for a group picture...not to brag about what you have.... merely to share 'your' keepers
and see what landed and stayed put in 'your' nest.

As many of you are older like myself you kind of found what works for you and know not to let it go unless you have to.
I do have those few things that end up in the first to go list to acquire something if it pops up.

But I have narrowed down things a bit and pretty happy with what I have now.
There was probably a thread of this nature and should search so I can see how envious I can get before ...throwing in the towel LOL

Certainly many of the members here have acquired phenomenal pieces over the years and were fortunate enough to be able to keep them
But others like myself have been letting go to catch the next rainbow as it presents itself over the years.
Luckily I've kept a few along the way that just had to stay with me.

Well, if Grot posts everything he has to this thread I believe the site is going to crash. Luckily, he has his site you can visit and it's a really great site too.

And to think what is on my Site is just over half of "The Guilds of Grot"!

I'd never be able to get everything in one photo!

Yeah, it's easier to just visit websites -- like Grot's and mine. :giggle:

Me neither. I tried once, but just with my G&L L-1000s (and 2 didn't make it in the photo).

Here's partial crew - all these can be plugged in as from factory - except Carmelo Gonzales & snare drums . . .
- DeArmond M-55 ( paid 100€ w stand + Peavey amp )
- two Songbirds - I found el Cheapo pickup for sounhole - works amazingly well - Artec - have to alter the preamp so that volume or bass becomes balance between two pups
- laying on the chair is my Carmelo Gonzales - spanish guitar which I bought used in Zürich 1971 - Senor Gonzales still builds guitars - he has been building them about 60 years - still at it
- OM240CE on right
- last but definitively not least - leaning against my Fender Vibro Champ - Guild X-2000

Here is the last "group" shot I was able to take of the "Guilds of Grot":

Interesting how many of those are no longer part of the collection!

So, how about compilation photos, do they count?

Here are my "Burst" Archtops:

Then we have some Cherry 3/4 bodies:

M-65's.jpg

And a few Solidbody cousins: (S-200, S-100, & S-50)

S-200-100-50.jpg

And some more cousins: (S-70A, S-70, & S-300D)

S-XXX.jpg

Still more cousins: (S-25, S-250, & S-260)

S2XX.jpg

And the final cousins: (S-100C & S-200CH)

S100 & 200.jpg

How about some Bluesbirds?

And then there are the three versions of M-80's:

Wait, here's a group shot of the "X" sparkles:

(Ah, but what are those on the left edge of the photo?)

And lastly, the basses!

Good thread, playing out like a Guild catalog. Still models I'm unaware of, like the S25 and big brother the unbound version of the M80, I like!

I used to do a few group shots but threw of most of them away, never really liked the compositions that much, too busy.

Here's some older ones, makes you wonder, where are they all now, are they being played, could you track one down and try to get it back? I couldn't afford them now.

Doing group shots is best done alone. It's not the best idea to pile the bed with guitars that someone didn't even know you had ;]

Top left NH 412 purchased at LMG4.
Top Right old beater Epiphone not worth a neck reset now serving Woodford and Horny-Toes.
2nd row right Yammy dread took over from the Epi. as my beach/camping beater.
2nd from left is my first decent guitar. A 3/4 size Kalamazoo by Gibson. Paid $60 in1969 new. She still plays fine.
On the old dairy box is a Hohner acoustic electric bass I mess around with. Was gifted to me.
Far right is my Korean made Epiphone Sorento. Think Casino with a single cutaway. Plays and sounds great.
Front row left MIM Tele with dressed neck is my go to gigging and jamming guitar.
Middle is my Schecter strat I got new in 1986. Many gigs under it's belt as well.
Last but not least my beloved G7. By far my most played guitar. I replaced the broken TRC with a little surfboard shaped piece of red cedar cut from a dead tree in a local park.

Pictured is also my Fender Blues JR. I have a couple more amps not pictured and a cheapish CB drum kit set up on the opposite side of my music room
