My dad would have been 90 years old tomorrow, the 4th of July, R.I.P. Dad. He and his buddies landed at Omaha Beach in the Invasion of Normandy. Some of them including Dad made it all the way to Germany and helped defeat the Nazis. They liberated a Nazi concentration camp along the way. Heroes, all.

Please take a moment tomorrow to reflect on the terrible cost of freedom, and take time to extend a hand of thanks to a Veteran.

The few survivors living today claim this is virtually exactly what it looked like........portions are hard to watch, but probably a pretty acurate depiction. It certainly helps one to appreciate the sacrifice. Looks a bit different than the old John Wayne movies where nobody really got hurt.

Hey guys, all due respect to my esteemed colleagues here on LTG, we're celebrating Independence Day tomorrow.
Think 1776, please. You know, Declaration of Independence, etc.

We just did Memorial Day and Veterans Day is a few months away.

All the best, :D

Happy Independence Day!!!!!!! Never forget what the American Revolution was; a fight against totalitarians, a fight for freedom, a fight for the right to determine the destiny of the greatest country in the world. Embrace the struggle for freedom. Cherish our history.

Peace
