Man!!! I was crazy over Guy Clark. Some of the first songs I learned were his. And what life he led. Rest in Peace Buddy.

I last saw Guy a few years ago when he stopped here with the Four Songwriters tour (not sure if that was the name but it's close). I was enthralled listening to him swapping songs with Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, and Joe Ely.
Cindy knew they were coming before I did and grabbed a couple of good seats right up front, knowing I wouldn't resist. It was a truly basic setup with these four giants sitting on stage, side by side, with their guitars....no special effects wanted or needed. Yes, I was in heaven!
I felt like the groupie I was in the late 60s and 70s when I lived in Texas. :friendly_wink:
