Few decades ago when landlines were ruling - radio reporter would go to a sorts event or fair or . . .

Then plug the mixer into phone line and call the studio - plug the mics into desk - directly or when needed via 50 meter extension cable - that D-connector - at other end of that said cable was attached a box w two microphone inputs and two headphone outputs.

I buy my wife anything she wants, and things I see she needs, better boots, better tools, replacement garden gloves. sewing needles, anything she needs, she doesn't do eBay, PPal, etc. And a fairly constant supply of red wine, chocolate, and I buy a lot of the food, all the gas, car maintenance supplies, chainsaws, etc.

You are (as am I) a "highly trained spousal object".

I get up super early (great way to get some quiet time), make coffee, bring her a cup in bed when she finally wakes, cook a wicked breakfast, also make great dinners, do all the laundry. Dishes we split. I try not to go overboard on the kitchen because deep down I'm a clean freak and she's not, so I don't want to chase tiny messes all the time. She makes great pizza but it looks like a bomb went off in there afterwards ;] Life is messy, accepting that will make your life a lot easier. Clean is an artificial state of things ;]

As one of the one, or few gays here, my husband is a mess. All I have to do is say, "Oh GOD, I want that guitar!!" and he says , well get it then. I'm left to be the responsible one here..... I hate being that person!!! I really do!! Sorry boys, it could be better/worse........

Oh, so THAT'S how you got that DV72...

The conversation usually goes something like this after all these years:

Don: You're being awfully quiet about that guitar.
Me: <says nothing>
Don: Do you like it?
Me: <says nothing>
Don: If you like it you should buy it.
Me: <realizes that saying nothing has not gained me anything. Considers buying the guitar>

And yes, that's ONE of many reasons why I got the DV-72. And all the other ones... :p:ROFLMAO:

So I got the Viking yesterday and was obviously a little "distracted" but also received an awesome new salad spinner she said she wanted for Bday that's not til mid June, but why wait, so she's ecstatic about the new salad spinner and I got away with another guitar/investment/rabbit hole of antisocial behavior, like choosing playing over watching a movie, which seems to happen on guitarrival days, during that honeymoon phase ;]
