Another one to check, you never know! : )

Wow, I love that you remembered this search and posted this guitar! This is a great forum! Unfortunately, in the other listing where this seller provides more photos it shows a serial number of 38420 which does not match the serial number of the OP’s original guitar...but it could fill the void until his original guitar is located 😁

Thanks, everyone. Still on my quest.....
I have given thought to just getting one that is (was) like mine but to be honest, I've never found one. They either have the wrong pickups or came with a Bigsby (!).

I was going to suggest that one too, but I wasn't sure if the PUs are Dearmonds or Hagstroms. It's difficult to tell. The pickguard is also the older chevron style rather than the later stairstep on Rob's original.

That one on Reverb seems to be about the only one for sale online with
the right pickups - guessing they were used by Guild for a short period of time?

I think the OP is looking for an example just like his original '65, which has the older headstock shape and Micky Mouse pickups. Sweet T-100 though!

jp, agreed - just thought for $1450 perhaps it'd get him somewhat close - until
the dream guitar shows up ;)

It's been about a year so I thought I'd give it another go.
I am trying to buy back the first guitar I ever had; a Guild T100D, serial number 40761.

Found one nearby for sale asking for pics and serial number. Cross your fingers!

Well, unfortunately it was SN 44923 in Montgomery Alabama. Looks identical but has a lot be of playwear. The quest continues!

Not the "One" but possibly of interest...
Am just seeing this post. For what it’s worth, I bought that guitar from CME shortly after you posted this! Was in Chicago (for Bluesfest), happened upon this T-100D, and was not gonna leave the shop without it! Needed new frets but my gosh is it fun to play! And the mickey mouse pickups sound wonderful through my old Bassman clone. Love this guitar…

I had a T-100 with the single, Franz-type pup and "open-book" headstock back during the mid-late 1970s. Though its cosmetic condition showed years of honest-usage wear, it was a sweet guitar, so I understand your lust. I shoulda kept it. Mine had a comfortably-fat neck profile, another plus in my book.

For me, the "one that got away" is a "Royal Tan", mid 1960s, Kalamazoo-made, Epiphione Riviera with Grover Rotomatics (think ES-335 with mini-humbuckers). Unlike many of those guitars, which had kind of a "slim-taper" neck profile, this one had a chunky, baseball bat neck that more closely resembled the "58-rounded" profile. Heaven.

But dumbass, here, "had to have" a black, Les Paul Custom "fretless wonder" with gold hardware, so...
