You might want to talk to Hans as well. He's a great resource for vintage Guilds.

The seller contacted me again and there seems to be (some) room for negotiation about the price. Does one of the members of this forum has an idea about an acceptable price in the European market ? Initial price was 2590 Eur but this was clearly too high. (Although you have to keep in mind that prices in Europe are higher than in the US )

I live in Europe and forum member ChasingGuitars does not ship internationally.

Sorry about this. I have no experience shipping out of US and it is beyond my comfort level. My only reason for selling some of my collection is I am expecting to move to a smaller house in another state and want to downsize. The 1966 Guild X-175 I had was in excellent original condition with no issues. The guy I sold it to had no idea apparently what he bought or any experience with a vintage guitar. He just wanted a guitar like Ted Greene played.

When he received the guitar and he noticed a small scratch on back of neck he freaked out and wanted to return the guitar. Meanwhile it is a very clean Hoboken Guild. Even though it was sold as described with no returns, I refunded him and got the guitar back. I advised the guy to not buy ANY vintage guitars and stay with new ones from Guitar Center, LOL

I love this guitar enough that I almost did not list it again. But I did and it sold again in one day for same amount. It is on its way to new buyer. I will certainly miss this one.

Nobody an idea for a correct price in Europe ?
No expertise on EU values, but that guitar has enough action/setup red flags for me to recommend staying away unless you've got the opportunity to examine it in person before buying.
