Haha ... It's also good that they fill the void of Blue collar guitars . There was a real good chance I wood have kept the F130rce if I had a few to compare it with .

That first paragraph:

Guild offers two jumbo 12-string models with the F-1512 designation. One is part of its mid-priced Guild Acoustic Design series (with a list price of $1,530); the other is part of Guild’s budget-conscious Westerly Collection ($1,265 list). Our review model is a Westerly F-1512. This isn’t a shootout—I won’t be comparing the two—but do keep this in mind if you go shopping for an F-1512: The models’ specs are slightly different, as their pricing suggests.

Um, isn't the "Westerly Collection" (ugh!) replacing the GAD line? They may both be available, as the older stock gets sold off, but they're not going to continue to produce both, are they?!?

What ? What's the spec difference ? I thought no changes were done besides the head stock logo and what could make a 300 dollar difference in price that we can't see ? Wood grade ? Laminated sides ? Poly molded ? Imported from Rectal five on the outter belt ? Dry wall screws ? Factory costs ? Extremely coarse toiletries ? HPL neck ? Balsa wood tops with a convienent exacto knife kit for modeling repairs " if needed " ? ..... Ahhhhhh Foam case ! ?

Rayk: Lets stay a bit more to pure facts here at LTG and not such kind of "crazy" speculation...We are an international forum, not everybody in the world might understand or appreciate slang...
Just have a look at the Guild webpage, even if there might be errors on the webpage.

And yes, the GAD line is no longer in production.

GAD F-1512 vs Westerly Collection F-1512: (just listing the difference in the specs)

MSRP: US$ 1,530 vs US$ 1,265

Bracing: Scalloped Spruce vs Westerly Jumbo Sitka Spruce Scalloped X Brace (whatever that difference might be)
Rosette: Black/White Striped with MOP Center Ring vs. black/ivory/black outer, black/MOP/black center, black/ivory/black inner
Body Depth Lower Bout: 4.75″ (120 mm) vs 4.5″ (114 mm)
Guitar Weight: 6.2 lbs vs 6.3 lbs
Body Binding: Ivory vs Ivory ABS (well the GAD used not pure Ivory obviously...so I guess it is the same)
Neck Material: 3-Piece Mahogany/Maple/Mahogany vs Mahogany (BIG difference !)
Nut Material: Nu-Bone vs Bone (now here the WC wins)
Fingerboard Inlays: Mother-of-Pearl Block vs Mother-of-Pearl Dot (again the GAD wins, but that depends what one likes)

O.k., that is all I found. So the big price driving items are the neck and the case as I see it.

By the way, what I mean with "webpage errors" just compare the two pictures of the Westerly Collection F-1512 and check the neck binding...

Ok but I just might get myself band as I have a hard time with folks being to serious no matter where there from . Life's to short but hey this is what you pride on I see that just thought I could lighten the librarian type feel . I'll back off and you can go back normal

I played several of the original GAD F-1512 before buying a used F-512 usa made. . The F-1512 seemed to me, not to be special and they have a lot of competition in that price range. They were however, much more comfortable to play vs other 12 strings, due to neck profile and nut width. If considering a F-1512, maybe it'd be good advice not to play a F-512 for comparison.
