I have the Thunderstar combo amp. I recently replaced all the tubes, but it definitely needs all new caps, and a few resistors (mainly the bias resistors), has anyone in the forum ever managed to put together a comprehensive parts list for a job of this magnitude, and a supplier that is preferred to get said parts? I have no issues doing the work, and am an amateur tech, but it would save a lot of time to have this part already done. Not to mention, parts of the schematic are hard to even read. Thanks in advance, I can't wait to get this beast back on the road again.

Most, if not all of what you need is at Mouser. I would replace all of the electrolytics with radial caps on terminal strips and leave the originals just for show.

Mouser is exactly where I am looking. I am having a very hard time finding the (2) 6.8ohm cathode biasing resistors though. 1 of mine are fried (I assume from a bad cap). The other works, and I am getting a good biasing voltage, but it reads around 20ohms. Not sure if this is normal or not. I chatted with Mouser, and they are not understanding what I need.

I am thinking these are actually wire wound resistors, but not 100% sure.

Ralf, good caps are very small. I have a box full of electrolytics for some projects in the very near future. The old ones are 10 times the size, and there is so much open space in Guild amps that isn't there in other makes.

Thats exactly what I did on one 1952 ReVox T-26 tape machine - looks better that way - and plenty of room inside.
