Today's online edition of Philadelphia Business Journal had an article about the improvements/renovations to Philly's Hard Rock Cafe (see: http://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia ... -adds.html).

Interesting. I'm sure he had many guitars in his collection. He actually appeared in a Gibson ad many years ago. Unlike Chuck Berry or Buddy Holly, I wouldn't consider Haley an early rock guitar hero.

Agreed. I'd say that the work of guitarist on some of Haley's sessions (including "Rock Around The Clock"), Danny Cedrone, was certainly influential, though.

And later, when Haley decided to hire a permanent guitar player for his band, Franny Beecher was really good too.
