I am looking to purchase a Starfire iv and I want some opinions on which version of the guitar sounds better, the Starfire iv with harp tail piece or the Quick Change SP-6 tailpiece!
What do you think?

Personally I'd rather have the harp tailpiece. I like a more buttery feel, and those "Quick Change" tailpieces look pretty close to the bridge. It depends on whether or not you like 'em tight or loose...

Ok that' s interesting, you mean that the strings are easier to bend! But what about tone, for me that is the biggest issue, is the tone similar with both tailpieces, what would be the difference?

I'm sure that tone would be looser too with the harp. There are a lot of variables in construction on which I have no frame of reference. We could be talking about different neck-set angles and wood variables as well. The only way for me to say much of anything meaningful is to AB an otherwise similar pair. Perhaps Hans or some of the other magnificent company hereabouts would be more qualified to comment on other differences.
