I just noticed the Guild Parts page on guildguitars.com no longer lists parts. I'd just purchased a Guild Bigsby from them in January, 2024. Does anyone know what prompted this and/or where Guild parts can be purchased?

Hello Blake. We noticed the shop was down for a few weeks/months, and recently is functional again, but not much is for sale, especially parts. I can only speculate that this is caused by Yamaha's acquisition of Cordoba, and reorganization. There's a thread here
Hopefully parts will be back soon.

Still no parts for sale in the Guild Shop :(
Sure could use an anti-hum LB-1 pickup mounting ring... I did try contacting them through their website communication form, so hopefully I'll hear back. Maybe I'll try calling their customer service number this week.

Hmmm...glad I bought a set of Bi-Sonics awhile back on a whim. They may not be Novaks, but they're serviceable enough bass pups.

Been thinking about throwing together a Bi-Sonic Mustang and the pole piece spacing is about perfect for a "sweet-spot" placement on a Mustang.

My general policy with guitar/bass parts these days is, "if you think you might want to use something in the future that's available at this time, better squirrel one away now, cause you may have trouble with availability later". What with companies merging, going out of business, revamping/slimming down product lines and so on, it's a constantly changing marketplace. Musical instrument stuff has always been kinda that way, but it seems to have gotten even more so these days.

The guitar certainly isn't dead, but it's not as "big" as it was back in our heyday. Companies have to stay lean and mean and reactive to the marketplace to survive.

At least that's my perception.

Yeah, I was debating buying one of their bass harp bridges with the saddles, just to have a back-up for any future emergency replacements or restorations... hopefully I didn't miss it. At least the Parts tab is still there, so maybe there's still hope that it will return. Perhaps they're just taking their time overhauling parts of the site.

Yeah, since I have a couple of NS SFs, I grabbed one of those as well when I bought the pickups.

Fender and Gibson stuff isn't generally too hard to find, since their production has been higher over a long period.

But Guild...

It's kind of like when you work on old cars: Ford and Chevrolet had the highest production, so NOS and used parts are more abundant plus there are more after-market parts because there are more people who own those cars.

But Mopar...

Mopar is common as grass, compared to the 1956 Buick I had. It was like they built it on Mars - one of ninety something Buick Specials built that year with a three-speed manual.
Ok, more like they built it on Phobos...

Maybe on the east coast and northeast: not so much in CA.

Sir, I'll see your hen's teeth '56 Buick parts and raise you a '50 DeSoto grill!!!

It's all relative: I'll stand by my Mopar (even Dodge and Plymouth) claim relative to Ford and Chevy. You may have a point about Buick and Olds...

Couldn't hurt to call them. In the past, that has worked ok.
A LTG member said very recently the phone number only had a YGG answering machine on it but the old service e-mail worked.

The complete Customer Service for Cordoba Music Group products in Santa Monica was moved to Yamaha Guitar Group in Calabasas. Hence also the webpage was transferred to the YGG system as you also will see in the footer of the new webpage. I can only guess they bring the old Guild part numbers in the YGG ordering system currently. Why this takes so long, no idea.

Just to update anyone who's wondering, I promptly heard back from Guild Customer Service regarding the parts matter and the LB-1 mounting ring (treble bezel):

At this time, we do not have parts available for purchase on our webstore; we expect these bezels to be available later this month.
In the meantime, you would need to place a special order with an Authorized Dealer in order to purchase a new Pickup Bezel.

So it sounds like the parts page may continue to be down for at least a while, but if you go to a dealer, they should be able to middle-man for you. On a sidenote, I appreciate the prompt, friendly response (the above was just an excerpt). It's not too common these days to get that kind of customer service, so cheers to Cordoba Music Group on that front.

Thanks for checking it out, MG. Well, it's been down a long time. I think this is Line6 clashing with Guild (CMG). As you said, I hope it can be fixed soon. For many/most of us, going to a dealer is not an option.

Oh, awesome, @Boneman ... As part of the re-organization of this site, "merch" is now in a separate category. The coasters are back. I'm going to try to order a couple now.

Ah, still buggy. I can't login or create an account. Oh well. There appear to be two of the black ones left at $4 ea. Someone grab 'em!

Still no coffee mugs under "Merch" (boo!) and the link for "Parts" is gone. I hope that doesn't mean parts will never be available again.

Hating the site right now. Why isn't "merch" showing up with "all accessories?" Whatever... I was finally able to get those 2 remaining leather coasters!
