Guild mini humbuckers

I know I've asked this before, but I never got an answer. Does anyone know what the Guild mini humbuckers are supposed read on a meter. I have a chance to buy a pair, but I want to make sure they're not too tired.

Never noticed your question. Guild small humbuckers are all over the place when it comes to their reading. I've seen them between 5K and 7 K and it is not unusual for the fingerboard pickup to be 'hotter' than the bridge pickup; sort of the opposite of what most people like.

Thanks Hans. The ones I just picked up are a respectable 6.51K an 6.55K.

One more question, though. I remember that once you helped danerectal ID a bridge vs a neck PU. What was it that differentiates the two. Is it the little hole in the back of one?

Edit:Okay, I just found it the answer on a thread. The bridge PU has a hole is in the back, and the neck PU has the magnets a little closer together.

Just out of curiosity, is your fingerboard pickup the hotter one of the two? Not that there's so much difference between 6.51K and 6.55K but still.

Actually, today I'm getting 6.50K on the bridge and 6.51K on the neck PU. Hmm. . . ? Must be because of that UFO that flew over Texas yesterday!
