Hi all,

I've got a factory case for Guild Jumbos for sale. Interior dimensions are:

Overall length, slightly over 44"

Body length, 20"+

Upper bout, 13"

Lower bout, 17"

This is the case that came with my F50R. I don't know what else it will fit, others may chime in with help in that direction. It's in excellent condition, having been out of the house only twice that I can remember since I bought the guitar new last year. Of course it has the "Guild Made to be Played" tag in front of the handle.

I'm asking $100.00 +shipping from zip code 18834. If you want to rought-guess the shipping charges, figure a box size of 47" x 21" by 8", approximately 25 lbs7

I don't do paypal; I would prefer a U.S.P.S. money order. Checks and other money orders would have to clear before I ship that case.

Any interest?

Jeff

FYI, I'm pretty sure Jeff's case is the same TKL case that's used on my Tacoma F-512.

Great cases. They're not fancy, but they definitely hold a 17" jumbo in just the right places.

Hey, Jazzy, I have one of those faux-alligator custom shop cases of the same dimensions as the TKL... I don't know if you've held one, but holy CRAP! Way too heavy!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all of the faux leather and alligator cases from the GAD line? I think all of the American-made cases are plain ol' black.

No, Guild sent out some faux-leather cases back in the day with their higher end guitars. I've got a few from a D-55, DV-72, and the D-100C. It seems they only did this for a short time.

The alligator skin cases were reserved for Custom Shop guitars.

Chaz, you willing to part with that alligator case, being too heavy and all? :D

Jazzy, actually I'd rather have a TKL case for my JF-30-12 than that custom shop case. I love the green lining of the custom shop case, but it's SERIOUSLY heavy, Jazzy. I'm not kidding about that. I lugged that to my office yesterday and started questioning my manhood by the time I reached the building.

It wasn't original for my JF-30-12 anyway, although I couldn't tell you how it ended up housing it.

Fungie, you out there?? Do you know where that custom shop case came from?

Jazzmang's got it right, asd ever. Bluesdan will attest that the faux-leather case on my DV-73 is very heavy - when I pack one guitar in each hand I have to swap them or I become unbalanced. Can't imagine what they put in there - plywood is plywood after all, must be 3/4" rather than 5/8" or something like that?
