I just purchased a Guild GAD 30R from a friend who is thinning out his collection. I have a Tacoma D 25 which gets almost daily use. I was looking for something a little smaller for me, because it's easier for picking. I was a bit skepical about getting the Chinese guitar, but the price was right and I could play it all I wanted before I bought. I did a minor set up job on the action, and honestly I can't put it down. I have had some big name guitars that I have had the priviledge to play. I am not a pro, so the minor nuances I can't judge. I have been around a while though, and this thing can hold it's own. All I know is what I hear when I play and friends play for me. This thing is sweet and so easy to play, it fits me perfectly.
Question, did this 30R model exist in the old Guild line that were made in the States. I see them reviving some of the older models under the GAD model name. Someone told me they used to make an F30R. I would recommed this to any intermediate or a little better player who plays for your family, friends or small gatherings.
Best,
JB
