Sure seems like a long link. It's on Ebay.

Thx, but this seems to be scram. It's advertised with the same photos, but different model information, several times at the same time, from a seller who constantly offers dubious offers with utopian high prices.

Might be legit. See several threads about Japanese brokers who scour obscure sites for instruments, advertise them elsewhere and if anyone bites they then buy from the owner. The ethics are disputed but there are folks who purchased from brokers and been happy.

Legit or not that is double what I see them going for typically.

I was responding to the suggestion that the listing was a scam and not expressing any opinion about being overpriced. Indeed a common feature of listings by Japanese brokers is that LTGers think they are all over priced for the American market.

If you are seeing them locally, report them here and help the OP out :)

Thanks for your dedication and participation in my search so far. We used the GAD-30E in Amber Burst in our documentary, before it was stolen. This is why we're only looking for this exact finish.

Since it's still not possible for me to see many of the products offered on Reverb, Craigslist and Ebay in the US, I continue to rely on your help. I thank you in advance for this. You guys are awesome.

There is a school that believes string tension helps keep a neck stabilized in case of a jolt that would induce a "diving board" type of oscillation reported to be a source of headstocks snapping off.

The mechanics make sense to me, and I believe somebody once mentioned Martin shipped (or still does?) their guitars that way for just that reason.

I'd always slackened the strings before shipping guitars, but Taylor, Martin, Larrivee and other makers currently ship their guitars with the strings tuned to pitch.

The most important thing is to make sure the headstock is completly immobilized in the case so that whiplash doesn't occur in shipping which, indeed, can snap off the headstock.

Reverb is easy, you just go to the lower left corner and adjust shipping region to "US" and Currency to "USD". That way you see all that are available in the US for instance. If you don't change this you only see good that are offered for shipping into Austria. You can also set alarms on both Reverb and Ebay for them, so you get an email notification if one shows up. You can set the alarms on US and worldwide and Europe.
For ebay you just use ebay.com and set the region on the left side of the page. Alarms on ebay.com and ebay.de. I rarely check Craigslist so can't help you there.

Found this one on GC listed in great condition for $500. Obviously you’ll want to have them describe it to you over the phone as their pictures are terrible. The “p” in the model name means paduk which is a really nice tone wood IMO. This guitar is in the Houston area ( about 250 miles from me ) so you’ll definitely want to call.

Also it has the nice inlays on the fretboard. I think so anyway.

Maybe not an amber burst but the price seems fair.

I'm still searching. Didn't find any GAD-30 with Amber Burst, neither on Ebay, nor on Reverb.

Being a smarty-pants here, but I see people bump into this a lot and this little tidbit might be useful to a few folks; I removed the media link in your quoted post so the full URL to which you are referring may be seen.
The actual link to the item is only this part: https://www.ebay.com/itm/274982307289 (in other words, the first part, the normal-looking domain name and item number.)
The 1113-character hash after and including the question mark (which I have bolded), right after the link proper, is completely unnecessary and you can safely delete all that, it is just a session tracking hash generated as you browse a site (eBay, in this case) and does nothing for the person who clicks on your link.
It's good practice to remove all of that session hash for a number of reasons. It's cumbersome and exceeds character-limits on many sites, so a partial link would only lead to a "page not found". Plus some long hashes may contain more than enough information for your own account to be compromised.

Very nice. Still available, too. I have one of those in the same Tobacco-burst. It's brilliant, I adore it, and it is absolutely worth that asking price. The tone is stellar and is very much Guild-worthy; the neck just falls right into your hand and the body size is comfortable without any compromise. The only criticism I had, and this is hardly criticism at all, is the same thing happened as in this thread, where the wiring came loose from its perch on the underside of the top and was a little tricky to get re-mounted. Nothing serious, though. And I'm frankly thrilled by the quality of recording I get from those Fishmans when run into a DAW.
For me, that GAD-30 (and my M120E) put to rest any and all skepticism about the merits of a Guild import.

@ParadiseSeeker, good luck in your search!

I love my M-120E and GAD-50E as much as my D-20E. All of them deliver a superb sound. My GAD-30, which I need for our documentary pilot, sadly was stolen in Praha this year. That's why I've been desperately looking for one in Amber Burst for a while now.

Thx. This would have been a good choice in all but the pretty damaged headstock. And for some reason it was sold within a few days.

I‘m still on the search, but I prefer a nearly new condition, because this is needed for closeups in our documentary.
