Guild F4 NTHG Need source Info

I have a Guild F4NTHG thin body, I need information about what year is build and kind of wood ? serial # AF 042801 made in Westerly, RI. I bought this guitar at samash store 8 months ago.

Hello rnelwin,

Your F4NTHG is from 1998 and should have a spruce top and mahogany back & sides. During this period some F4NTHGs were made with different woods and a solid finish. Show me a photo of the guitar and I should be able to tell you if it's one of those.

I have a Guild F5 NTHG, a beautiful guitar. I was told by Guild that this is really an F5CE but their records only show the serial number up to AF 0506xx, mine is a couple of hundred higher, picture attached. Maybe I could get some more info as to date made, etc.

Welcome! Your guitar is indeed an F5CE with a 'High Gloss' finish and it was completed during the year 1998.
