So, i was hanging around music stores in paris when i saw this :

http://www.guitarecollection.com/GuildD ... t1967.aspx

of course i recognized immediately that it was a duane eddy

But i also saw that the signature was missing....

After reading the guild guitar book i understand that it was a duane eddy B from 63

Which is a little bit surprising cause duane seems to prefer blonde guitar....

anyway the serial number seemed to be 19282....

and here is the point :

the seller showed me the label and there was two label inside the guitar.... one from hoboken labeled as a T500 and the other was unreadable...

He explained me that duane played this guitar and then he re-send it back to factory because he wanted the label to be a duane eddy model which explains the 2 label inside....

What do you think about this story/guitar ???? he asks 6900 euros for this lady which mean like 10000 dollars.....

fair enough or overprized??

it may be the only duane eddy b in sunburst....

Hello JB,

The guitar looks to me like a regular T-500, which was the forerunner of the Duane Eddy Model.

That serial # dates it to 1962. However, are you sure that's the correct number?
I already have a listing for another model guitar with that same serial number in my database.
Is it possible you didn't really look close enough and that the last digit of the serial number is something else than a 2?

Also, I do not really understand why the seller told you the story about Duane Eddy sending it back and on the other hand he lists the guitar on his website as a Duane Eddy from 1967.

Anyway, I hate to say something negative about a guitar that I'm not actually holding in my hands but the finish looks a bit strange to me. It could be the lighting though!

Would love to see better pictures than the ones on the website.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

hey hans

i may made a mistake with the serial number because it wasn't easy to read but i'm sur that it start with 192...

You're wright about one thing, the seller told me some craps about the story with duane eddy..... he listed the guitar as a 67 so he may not be a great guild fan like me:)

Anyway about the finish when i held the guitar in my arms it seemed to me that it was very poor.... i mean the colors seemed artificial on this one so after thinking about the whole thing it may be a refinished guitar....

Anyway i don't want it anymore :)

i'll try to get some SF6 sunburst,X2000 from the Dino Olar collection :)
