I've only ever seen two of these goofy little units, and Grot's got the other one. It's not the most exciting review ever, but maybe it will dig up someone who knows more about them!

As usual, amusingly written - nice! But I must say I don't understand some of this review, since I have a very limited (at best) knowledge of electronics. I do, however, like the look of this little unit! Strangely attractive in it's utilitarianism.

Weirdly, I did notice the "misspelled" cover - years of grading papers makes it impossible not to notice potential abuses of English - I was looking for "reverberation", although I'm not sure that's correct, either.

Your thought that the copy editor who did that was stoned (or worse) might be true. Although, in French the verb "rever" means "to dream" in English. Was the copy editor dreaming of bras when he did it? Yes, bras - "rever bra". Might make sense... or not!

Ah, thanks Al, "reverberation" is what I was looking for, too...

It's like the Guild silk banners we've seen with "Amplifier" spelled wrong!

Those grey paper in oil caps are most likely pining for the fjords. They should get replaced. That could be part of the issue. I'm guessing the ids on the transistors are on the side facing the board. Speaking of unknown stuff, I have a Fuzzwah on the pile to fix, but I'm worried that I won't get to it before I retire...

Well, even if we don't know what it sounds like, the review was fun to read (as usual)!

I thought I found another one pictured, but realized that is actually the exact one GAD got!

To me the closest cousin is Radio Shack's "Realistic" "Pro Verb" from 1967, also made in USA (not Japan), compare the orange light for instance:

Ooh nice find! And it would be just like Guild to add a useless volume knob.

Fun read even if we don’t know how it sounds. Did the Japanese one work? How did it sound?

Both of ‘em.

Weird, because I thought I cancelled out of that!
Just seemed kinda pointless..
And because, yeah, forgot Jack's had about as many buttons as Phil's...have his "remembered" as having a "lot" less knobs...maybe that was "the other one"....

If you asked me I would have said Lesh's Guild had more knobs than Casady's but both have more than mine.
