You're talking about used, right, not NOS? Seems rather high to me. Assuming used, that's at least $200 high by my reckoning.

I think it's a NOS from Rocky Street Sounds.

In that case, with DTAR, that's not all that high. I'll still bet you could still get it for 1100 or 1200. I'd call 'em up and offer a grand.

All that said, there ain't gonna' be any more Tacoma D-55s.

just read the listing. It certainly seems worth a call; since it is listed as NOS and limited Guild Warranty does that mean the Fishman pickup is from the factory? It also includes HSC. good luck, I sure love my D55. joan

Doesnt seem high in my books -especially if it has the D-tar .if i was ever going to sell my 1971 D-55 I would ask way more than that -

LOVE my '06 D-55! Also very happy with the Fishman Matrix Active pup I had installed in it. This D-55 is my main gigging axe.

What makes you say that, Scratch? What do you prefer about the Fishman over the D-TAR?

And I guess I'd also ask, what's your playing style? Finger picking? Hard strumming? Somewhere in-between?
