This is a long one! After countless hours writing, rewriting, photographing and re-re-re-re-photographing, here's my whopping 6000-word dissertation on the Guild Bluesbird Holoflake guitar.

great as usual Gary, but I found a typo in the playability section:
"If you don’t, then I’m hear to tell you that they’re great guitars,..."

A long, fascinating and enjoyable review!! You are a tenacious researcher and did an amazing job with what little information is "out there". Kudos!

Well, that was both exhausting and invigorating to read! Excellent! Your usual high quality and enjoyable writing style with some really cool information! Thanks!

Outstanding. One of your best yet among a collection of great reviews. Thanks for doing these. I really appreciated the educational detours.

Thanks all! I'm impressed people actually read it all. Believe it or not it's probably 2000 words shorter than it was thanks to having a mentor beat into me that too many words is bad. It's still too many words, but it used to be WAY too many words.

This guitar pulled me deep down into the obsessive part of my brain, mostly because I got so frustrated at not being able to take the pictures I wanted. Once that happened I did what I do, and set out to learn how, only to learn that I probably couldn't, which made me need to know why, which I then felt the need to explain to the world. :)

I really enjoyed reading that in depth analysis and review. I’m glad you included a video so we could see that finish in action. Mesmerizing! Guild should re-issue these in the NS series.

I've had a similar conversation about music: More notes is not necessarily better. The right note at the right time is what you're striving for.
