I purchased the 8 string baritone in March.
Today, I noticed that there are two cracks in the top of the guitar at the edges of the bridge.
They are small right now, less than 1/2" but they will most likely grow.
I have kept the guitar humidified so that should not be the problem.
Looks like stress cracks to me.

I contacted Guild/Cordoba about the problem and sent pictures and info to them.
Waiting to hear back from them as to what to do next.
Very disappointed about this.
I hope Guild will take care of me at no cost for shipping or replacement.

Very unfortunate. I hope the Guilds folks can make it right for you.

Finish checking at the bridge corners is a rather common occurrence. Without having it in hand, that would be my initial guess. Hope you get it sorted out to your satisfaction.

Hard to see. I can feel where the top is lifting at the crack.

Are you close to an authorized dealer to help facilitate the exchange? Was it purchased from an authorized dealer? Sorry, don't remember your acquisition post.

Bottom line I think they'll have your back, although if it's turned out to be a known problem they may offer you a different guitar.
Purchase from an authorized dealer's the critical issue, even if on the 'net. But they may also want an authorized repair person's report if it's not too problematic for you.

That sucks. I was considering one of those.
That's usually not a problem. I also had a Martin dreadnought developing the same at that exact positions on both sides of the bridge. It happens. Mostly it is just a very thin lacquer stress crack. A crack in the wood would be extremely rare at that position (big impact on the bridge from something). Now that Baritone is poly finished however.

Took the Guild Baritone to Fedex today.
I had to purchase a box from them because the guitar and case is too large to fit in a regular size guitar box.
Guild/Cordoba prepaid for shipping but I had to come up with a box.
I paid Fedex $22.00 for the box and to properly pack it.
Not a bad price in my opinion.

It will be interesting to see what they say about the cracks. I can feel the raise in the crack.
My best guess it that this is a full wood crack and not just a finish crack from the way it feels.

Guild asked for a copy of my receipt and SN of the guitar.
I had sent them the warranty info when I bought the guitar.
They emailed me a pre paid shipping label, which I took with me to Fedex.
So far, it looks like they are going to take care of me.
No idea of how long this will take, at this time.

No bueno TMG! I had my eye one of those. Wonder if it is a tension issue in the build. 8 strings is a lot of horsepower. Hope they resolve to your satisfaction!

Mine is a very early model.
I hope they have made improvements and I will get a replacement that won't develop the same problem.
I really want to like this guitar.

From what I've learned about the Korean factory, quality assurance seems pretty strict. GAD reviewed a Korean made guitar that was a discounted factory second because of a tiny blemish on the fretboard, almost imperceptible. Yours was made in China but my gut tells me they will take this seriously.

On the acoustic side it has always been MIC from GAD series to now. I do believe QC at Grand Rewards ( not sure if WC series is made there still ) was not up to the level of the Korean factory that makes the NS electrics. I have seen a few MIC acoustics that had issues from the factory. My GAD 50 had a slightly twisted neck that was a factory issue. That thing buzzed like crazy. I got just barely playable and it sounded amazing but the fix was temporary.
