Thanks for posting that.

That guitar really cuts through the mix real nicely.

My wife is a Bon Jovi fan and I have come to like them even more since they did a duet with Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland. Oooh oooh Wee!

i'm at work so i can't check it out, but that SRV one - is it the MTV Unplugged stint where he did "Pride and Joy?" i love how he totally incorporates that 12-string vibe while still doing single run shreds seamlessly. absolutely a talent lost before his time.

Is that the show where he does "Life by the Drop"? No fancy finger pyro-techniques, but just real heart-felt playing and singing. I always felt its unfortunate that so much is focused on Stevie's tremendous playing that many over-see just how good his voice really was.

As far as Sambora: He ordered a black JF-55 12 just before the Westerly shut-down. Wonder if he still has it?

the SRV clip is from another show. i think almost all mtv unplugged vids have been pulled from youtube. for some reason, i cant find all the nirvana and alice in chains unplugged clips. too bad, jerry cantrell of alice in chains used only two guilds the entire concert and their rhythm guitarist had one. they were awesome. as for nirvana, krist used a guild 4-string acoustic bass.

pls. bear with the 90s rock vids  i grew up on those years and those were the best yrs. in music IMO. :D

SRV was so strong in so many respects, but the thing that impresses me is his right hand technique.

Since this thread is about Guild Video here is a link to the Warren Brothers where Bret Warren plays a well finger printed D-25.

I know most of you are not country music fans, but if you take the time for this one you will see and hear a real "up Front" D-55.

The title of the video is "I Don't Feel Like Loving You Today (2005 CMA Awards)" (full length video).

If it works the way it did when I watched it there are two videos, one live at the CMA Awards followed by a Studio Video. Enjoy
