Hans ... I spoke with my brother today about MY A - 500. He said when he bought it, he was sure it was brand new. We are both surprised that it was made in 1963. He bought it very soon after it arrived in a music store in northern Illinois. He thinks it was 1967. I suppose it could have been in a warehouse or another music store for a time but that seems pretty long. He thinks he paid $500 or $600 for it. It did not come with a pickup.
