I nearly bought an 812 once. Got an 814 instead which didn’t last. Should have hit the 812, such sweet guitars. Taylor nailed the grand concert shape. It’s their best body size, IMHO.

I had no idea you had so many instruments, Tom. Cool.

What's that Avalon play and sound like?

John there's actually 4 more out in the living room. 3 belong to Don, his Mitsuru Tamura classical he bought when he was in the Navy in Japan, his Martin Kit that he built, and his Martin 12 string. And my Washburn A/E is out there as well.

The Avalon is a super nice guitar with a full, rich jumbo sound (rosewood/spruce) and plays like butter!! It's basically a Lowden because it was built in the first year the craftsmen and management of Lowden Guitars bought George out and sent him packing with his name, and they kept the factory, all equipment, and the tonewoods and called it Avalon. It's the L32 Legacy Series with all the design, woods, and craftsmen that built the Lowden guitars in Ireland and is the 20th guitar the company produced with the new name. I really can't say enough good about that guitar. Don bought it at the local guitar center quite a few years ago. Sweet guitar!!

I start my chicken soup with a nice young roaster in a pot of water. I'm a firm believer that chicken soup needs to include lots of chicken. Once Mrs. Dread said "Aren't you going to use a box of chicken stock?" I said "Why?"

We have an Instapot and I can say that there are many different types of dishes you can make with it. Last night I made chicken cacciatore, and served it with flat noodles. It was very good. Next time, I'll put some red chillie flakes in it.
