Let us know what you think about them. I have never tried them myself but I but you will like them. They should be a bit louder than your other strings.

Has anyone used GHS Vintage Bronze Strings (10-46) for your 12 String Acoustic?

I just bought a package and I am going to try them out, this time around.
I have been using GHS Silk & Bronze http://www.ghsstrings.com/strings/acoustic/silk-and-bronze and I've been quite satisfied, but my local guitar store didn't have any in stock. I'm still hoping for a warm sound.

I use Cleartone 10-46 coateds on my 12ers, mainly because I hate changing 12 strings. but GHS Vintage Bronze is the string of choice for my Songwriter Deluxe. They seem to resonate just right. Bill Ashton loves 'em, too.

I've never had a twelver, but I've used Vintage Bronze on my D25, as I used to like the 85/15 blend on the Martin D18 I used to have. They seemed good, but I'm currently really liking the Silk & Bronze on the D25.
It all varies with the instrument, the player, & the ears.

I do notice a brighter tone. We'll see how they sound when they wear in a bit. I'm not sure if I hear more volume. I understand that most Bronze String have 80 % Copper and 20 % Zinc. The Vintage Bronze Wound Strings (of course the high strings are steel strings), for my 12 string (F212) are 85 % Copper and 15% Zinc. (24-46-15-36-11-26-09-20-13-13-10-10)

GHS Vintage Bronze strings are what I put on my Gibson J-30 in the past when it had to sound right straight away, without the typical clangy-ness of D'Daddarios before breaking in.
Sound great right out of the box, not a lot of stretching needed, nice feel to them.

Alas, as they are a bronze wound string, they do degrade more swiftly over time, much faster than phospher bronze.

They don't offer them in a "bluegrass" gauge, so for a while I was making up my own sets from mediums and lights for my D55, but it got too costly.

I also like GHS's Doyle Dykes Signature strings for my GAD30PCE, though I sometimes wind up pushing the high E off the fingerboard (I think its a .0095)

Not a 12-er, but I do have a set of lights on an all hog guitar right now. I thought they held their own in terms of life, but now they are getting pretty mellow which really brings out the sharp woodyness in the hog top. I have been a fan, but I do not know how they compare to plain old 80/20s. I would buy again.
