We have a stop sign at the end of our driveway because our driveway is considered to be a road. I want to put that there! ... and I just might.

Private road, no government assist with snow removal, should h**l freeze over and that become necessary. There are three residences on the farm so the driveway is a "road" that had to be named. I argued with the powers that be, but to no avail. They said it was for 911 location purposes.

I wanted to name it "Drive Way".

I have a friend that moved to the "wilds" of Southwestern Virginia. When they put in a 911 system they had to name the dirt road his house was on plus six others. They had called a meeting but only my friend showed up so he got to name it after his residence. The road is now known as "Mountain Breeze Lane"
