The above is quite appropriate to today. I started shovelling early. This morning's snow was in layers - black ice on the bottom, four to six inches of fluffy-heavy-wet snow in the middle, and (like a Crème Brûlée) a 1/4 inch crust of ice on top. It took a long time to clear driveways and walkways. The cars were entombed in a cocoon of ice. We have multiple shovels and multiple car brushes. Somehow, I was the only one shovelling and brushing. I didn't even get any accompaniment. :(

@Prince of Darkness

Many thanks. You have set me off on the right track for the day!

Bill Bailey is awesome. He is one of my favourite UK media personalities, brilliant on talk shows, brilliant on panel quiz shows, brilliant at stand-up, brilliant at comedic acting, and brilliant at music to boot.

The original Dr Who theme from the 60s with pics of the wonderful Delia Derbyshire, who arranged and performed the original music.

Still the best version and the one I grew up listening to :cool: I have it on an old vinyl single, rather worn, with plenty of crackles and pops when I play it!
