We used to ride them like scooters and race around the warehouse. They don't make turns so good at high speed, but they go really fast!
Hmmmm. Husband has one. Never considered riding it, until now ....

Do they have brakes?

I am a pro pallet jack rider! I was a shipping/receiving clerk in my youth and I love using pallet jacks, which I still get to use every now and then when building out data centers. I get yelled at that I’m not 18 any more as I go wizzing by all the losers on the team who can’t ride them. :)

If I was an OSHA guy, I'd recommend this go under the "Safety First" thread.

Vere...had to be about 8 years ago...maybe...went to a Taylor Road Show hosted by our favorite Central Massachusetts
music store. They showed a "one off" dread that looked for all the world like a regular Taylor, but didn't sound like one...
to prove that they could make a "bluegrass" style guitar if they really wanted to (and I may not have that right), they constructed
this piece like a vintage Martin. OMG! Cue the angels singing! And it was for sale, at a price affordable to a person looking for a high end guitar. I would have bought it on the spot had I not just ordered an F512 from Carl. Ufff, things that could have been. They also had an
all Koa (I think) 12-string that was also wonderful. Would like to have A/B'd it to a 512...

@chazmo , where are you, help me out, weren't you there?

Hi @Bill Ashton ! Taylor definitely has had some all-koa 12-strings, and of course it's by choice that they build instruments the way they do. I don't think I've ever played a production Taylor that sounds anything like a Guild, though. A friend of mine had a walnut/cedar-top Taylor dread that was marvelous, though. Would love to have that guitar. :)

I don't recall the road show that you're referring to, though. I don't think it was me, but then again I turn 60 in a few days, so my memory may be slipping. :D

Hope you're doing well!

No - but one can make them easily - just take two pieces of wood - one of each side - attach them with sumpting under the forks - just see that they are thicker than the free space under forks at low position.

😂 - waiting for pictures 😏

Or just hit a piece of wood with those wheels. You'll stop very quickly.
