I hunted for this for months, and found it on TGP for a great price. I'm passing on the great price, as much as I'd love to make a few hundred more on Ebay. $1000 Paypalled and Shipped - Continental US Only Please. Not much into trades since I'm GASing for something else (as always). Of course if it's a Guild that I simply must have... :)

This is "the good one". Bound fretboard, real nitro finish, etc. All the features they took away from the standard so they could charge more for a custom shop. The new faded specials don't hold a candle to these. The finish isn't as sexy as it is on the Historics. This one looks just like a red guitar under normal light. You don't really see the grain like you do on the Historics.

Guitar is not mint. It's got some buckle rash, and has some player wear, but it's very lightly cosmetic wear. Nothing deep into the finish. Can't see any of it in pics. Excellent playability. Frets are great. No neck problems.

This guitar came stock with P100s. They sucked. I replaced the P100s with Sheptone P90s and replaced all the electronics with an RS kit. Stock pots were as low as 67 Ohms. New ones are all 500K RS pots. This change really made the guitar come alive. All original parts are included.

So why sell? I also got a GOTW #37 SG special at the same time and that guitar does it for me. I like the brighter P90 sound. This LP has all the midrange, but it's not as bright as the SG.

Now for the photographer's lesson. Always dust your item before you take pics. :)

Or, I could have left the dust where it was and turned off the flash. That works just as well!

Beautiful wood grain on the back. Mine is an Orville, from the mid-90s, but looks much like this one. IMO, these are the unheralded gems of the Les Paul line. Extremely versatile, resonant, huge warm tone. Somebody grab it!!
