Bittersweet it is.
My 1997 D30-AB and 1980 D25 are available to the rest of the world.
“Sweet” in that they have the potential to go to a home where they will be played more often, ”bitter” that I’m seeing them go.
Both guitars are without structural defects, no crazing, no cracks. Most, if not all, the saddle is there, both play very nice. I say “most” because the D30 has been professionally set up to include a Martin Thinline under saddle passive pickup, otherwise the saddles are all there. Both have a nick or two, small imperfections in otherwise pretty close to mint guitars.
I’m simplifying my life some, I have 8 Westerlies of various flavors and I’ve found myself playing the jumbos most. I have such nice guitars, it’s a shame I just can’t make the time to play them all even though I do rotate playing time with each and every one of them as much as I can.
These two dreads are the first to go. After months of going back and forth on whether to even sell anything or not and then having to decide which guitars I may be able to part with, I made my decision.
I’ve got well over $800 in the D30 with the initial cost, the pro set up, the Thinline, and the case. Actually probably close to a grand. The D25, $700 and some change. Bought the D30 off eBay last year and the D25 from LTG’s own Willysunday last March.
Both come with cases, the D30 with a newer tweed style that I had to buy for it since the guitar came with a case that was too small length-wise. The new case fits perfectly. The D25 comes with the original 4 latch case in excellent shape with an additional locking latch with a key. Original owners manual too. I believe Willysunday bought it from the original owner. It begs to be played to have the chance to open up more sound-wise.
Make me an offer and I can get as specific as you need in the details. I can take more pictures too if that’s what you need to help you decide anything.
Smoke free home, climate and humidity controlled music room kept. I like to keep one or two of my guitars out and handy to play but I rotate them in and out of their respective cases. I’m offering to the guys and gals of LTG first because, well, because it’s right. If I don't have any interest here, I'll have to move on them and put them on (gulp) eBay.
When I got the git from Willy the label on the D25 wasn't attached but it's the original and matches the head stamped s/n. I have it in the guitar case.
Peace out,
Bru
