The actual guitar, "Tiger" on the far left of this little display is on display at Garcia's bar which is right down the street from us. I liked Jerry's sound best when he was playing the Stratocaster.

I think his tone was good with the SG and Strat but I never liked when he would use the auto wah,. I think that was in the custom guitar era though.

We saw DSO: Dark Star Orchestra on Friday and the phake Jerry was playing the real "Alligator", the strat. It sounded great and a lot like Jerry Garcia's tone. The guy had essentially the same rig as well: Fender Twin preamp into a Macintosh amp
