My 1999 Guild Finesse Custom Shop dred has a Fishman Matrix True Tone Sound pickup, with a controller in the guitar sound hole. There are two ways to amplify the guitar.. There is a microphone inside the guitar (maybe two), and an under the saddle pickup. Both are controlled through the sound hole preamp. See the photo. I'm wondering if anyone on LTG has experience with this particular pickup.
The knobs on the bottom control the under saddle pickup. There's a volume, tone and phase controller. Otherwise, the mic controllers are more easily visible in the photo.
Thanks,
Rich

I have been informed by a tech advisor at Fishman that the pre-amp in my Finesse was not made by them. Is there a way I can ask someone at Guild, particularly anyone who worked at the Custom Shop in Nashville from where the pre-amp was sourced?

or search on "Truetone Sound M7 Acoustic Pickup System"

Definitely not Fishman and not sure why you thought otherwise but there are a couple of entrances to the Rabbit Hole if you want to do some research.

Thank you so much for the information. I will definitely follow up. This is why LTG is a valuable resource for us Guild folks.
