I sang plenty at the chruch schools I went to, but no playing anything. I didn't know how to guitar back then. I tried to sing a John Denver tune on a movie location while a friend played and because of nerves, I started an octave too high and had to stop and was too embarrassed to start over. Now I have played with my guitar instructor a number of times in front of people, but no singing. Now I can't hit any of the good higher notes due to vocal cord procedures, so I don't expect to sing in front of anyone.
I guess I really haven't done both on my own ever, really.
