I had a similar amp like that though I forget was it was and certainly where it is. I do remember it had the greatest metal distortion I had ever heard!

Nope! it was a tiny amp that plugged right in the guitar.

(And no, it was not a Tweety Bird!)

I had an early version called "Ampliphones" back in the '70's, the harmonic distortion was 10%.
