The Acoustasonic Junior amp has been cleared for integration into our living room decor. I've gotta say, it sounds truly great for both guitar and bass (at low volume, of course). I use the "instrument" channel for guitar and the "mic" channel for bass. The spring reverb also sounds great for both as well, though is perhaps more practical in the guitar context.

My only complaint has been that the high-frequency tweeter has a tiny bit of constant hiss (at least with the sub-par wiring in our house). Wouldn't be noticeable if it wasn't so peaceful and quiet in our living room. Anyway, I managed to remedy it by removing the grill and adding a few layers of paper towel over the tweeter. Just enough to subdue that hiss but not enough to noticeably affect the tone of the instrument being played through it.

That shelf display has me intrigued. How about a clear shot of that? o_O

Odds and ends, perched thoughtfully around an alligator skull with an un-opened 1988 Harley Davidson "Heavy Beer" in it's jaws. Originally it was only going to be the skull and the beer (which serves nicely to keep the jaws ajar) but there was enough space around the skull to where the cats might try to jump up, so we placed some shells, a faux-plant, and other stuff around it. Will get a better shot of it once the sun comes up

It is nice of you to give the cats their choice of objects to knock to the floor :)

Surprisingly our two girls avoid busy surfaces. As soon as there's a bit of unoccupied space though (maybe 6"x6" minimum) they will try to jump there. The trick here is that they can see this shelf from a nearby couch arm-rest, so they know it doesn't make a good landing-strip.

That's another thing I love about Taylor guitars. Like them or not, my GC8 hasn't been in production for almost 10 years, but every model you look up has full information and a really good bio of the guitar. At the end it just says, "No Longer In Production". Fair enough.... but it's still listed there and if I ever sell it (doubtful) I'll take my info from them. That's really the way it should be in my eyes!!
I think in their case it boils down to being a private/employee owned company w/ a relatively short history (compared to Fender/Gibson/Martin/Guild) w/ one continuous factory location. When companies change ownership and location, their predecessor’s history most often becomes nothing more than a footnoted prequel to their own. Like w/ Guild, I’m sure the best place to get accurate info on discontinued gear is w/ the fans/collectors/players ( right here!) and not current corporate headquarters. Same I’m sure is true for all other builds. Had Taylor changed hands and locations 3-4 times, I doubt they’d still have all the specs on early models readily available. Family/factory pride! (y)
